Clinical Specialties: Play therapy, trauma, PTSD, sexual abuse/assault, parent-child interactions, family therapy, adoption/foster care system and attachment, depression, anxiety, grief, life changes, ADHD, mindfulness and group work. Populations served include children as young as five years old, adolescents, college students and young adults. I am currently working on a certification in Animal Assisted Play Therapy with my golden retriever, Bambino.

Positions Held/Honors Received: Mental Health Professional at UCBH Partial Hospitalization Program, therapist with Keystone Family Based Services and lead therapist at Meadows Psychiatric Center.

Treatment Approach/Philosophy: My approach focuses on what is best for each individual client. For children, that may mean directive and non-directive play therapy techniques or family sessions to improve communication and attachment. I also work with parents to support them and help them recognize behavioral patterns with their children. I utilize the Internal Family Systems (IFS) Model and expressive arts for clients of all ages to increase their awareness and understanding of their emotions and triggers. I also use the Instinctual Trauma Response model to help clients heal from various traumas.
